Gnome Mage
Primary Raiding Spec (if you have a raid-viable off-spec, let us know):

Frost at the moment. Thinking off going arcane since i have been seeing alot of mages playing it.

Artifact Level for each raid-viable spec?

Soon 20

In order for us to contact you in game please provide your Real ID or BattleTag:

Sockertoppen#2559

Tell a bit about yourself and where you're from:

Hello! My name is Pontus, I’m 27 years old and I live in Fjärås (Fjaras) Sweden together with my little family including my girlfriend Hanna, my two dogs and my two cats (Yes… I do like animals)

I work as a car salesman in a company close to where I live. My girlfriend works as a nurse.

More information about me as a person will be written in one off your questions down below.

Please link a screenshot of your user interface, preferably in a raid environment:
If you have any logs showcasing your past raid performance then please link them below:

Sorry no..

Can you tell us the stat weights you use for gear, gems, and enchants for your character?

So as off this moment playing as Frost it´s:

Int (Obvious for more dmg output)
Crit (to reach that "Scatter" cap)
Haste (to speed up my cast time on Frostbolt as my filler to eventually get my Glacial spike much quicker)
Versatility (just flat out dmg)

Now I know that this may change during patches and also if i would go arcane as main spec.

Which Legendaries and how many traits do you have for each specialization? Which ones do you use for different situations?

A Legion question I assume ;)

But the same goes for BFA where Azerite traits comes in to play. For me as a mage it all comes down to certain if is it an aoe or single target situation. I change to maximize the dps for that specific boss, the same thing as I would with my spec.

What is your standard rotation for your current role (DPS/Healing/Tanking)?

Rotation for me in frost spec is:

Spam frostbolt until I get a proc of "Fingers of frost" which I make sure to cast directly.
Ebonbolt when possible (prefer to cast it so that I can use Glacial spike + instant flurry + ice lane combo)
Glacial spike when possible (pref to combine it with instant Flurry cast combo)
Flurry whenever I get an instant proc and then followed up with an ice lane (since it´s an guaranteed crit)
Comet storm when I can (saving it if there is an ad phase during a boss)

Beside those things it´s just a matter of not letting any procs go to waste.

Last but not least, the burst phase:

Hero
Trinket
Frost orb
Icy Veins
Spam Ice lanes (if i get the fingers of frost proc)
Flurry (on proc and if possible combine it with Glacial spike combo, if not just followed by a Ice lane)
Frostbolt as a filler
Glacial spike when possible (and combine it with flurry/ice lane combo)
Ebonbolt when possible (followed by that instant flurry i get and also as Always followed by an ice lane)

Please describe a "recent" raid boss that really demonstrates how you have gone above and beyond your current role (DPS/Healing/Tanking). This may involve using a special spec, a non-standard rotation, or non-standard gear/glyphs. If possible, link us a parse of you doing this.

Hmmm… I can´t Think of any specific encounter. i just try to stay at my best all the time and do whatever is needed from me.
Some bosses have things that needs to be controlled / handled and as a mage you do get picked to do some of those things. An example is being one of the ball control guys for G´huun.
Same thing goes for spec, I change it a lot depending on the encounter in question, just to make it easier in some way or help out.
I change my rotation throughout encounters / special phases on bosses that need it. Saving some AOE talent for that ad phase is golden...

Please state your previous PvE experience and what guild(s) you have been in and your reason(s) for leaving:

So, I could write for ages but I will try to keep it short.

My PVE experience started from Vanilla and forward. I started raiding in a Guild on Shattered hand (sorry but memory fades on the name) and I manage to get at least Zul gurub/Onyxia/AQ20 and a few bosses in MC. Then in late TBC I joined "Deamonicus" on Shattered hand server but did not raid that much just sporadic, but in WOTLK I came back to raiding and cleared out the live content at this time. I stayed in Daemonicus all the way up until ToC went live. Due to my friends joining another Guild (being just a young kid at this time I did not know better) so I soon followed…

But that was actually the best thing I could because then I joined a Guild called "Who dares wins" and now... shit got serious!
We started from just creating the Guild at late ToC/ start off ICC to actually become successful. This was also my "peak" in wow since I became their raidleader/officer. The Guild was so amazingly family like that I still meet them IRL sometimes.

In Cataclysm this continue but we change server to frostmane and was looking good until some people wanted to go horde, so the Guild split but we manage to stick thru and start a new Guild but with old members that stayed on the Alliance. We raised up and continued to clear it all in Cataclysm as well. Also, here I continued as a Raidleader/officer.

In MOP the Guild was still playing but this time more casual and tho my memory fades here I Think that me personally did not raid that much in MOP. I thought that expansion was…. BAD. So I played other games / casually in WoW. But at least the Guild was still around. But in late MOP the Active roster was low, like a good 6-8 people I Think.

In start of WOD we still had a small rooster and when we were raiding (I Think it was either) HM or Blackrock foundry we had to search people for every raid so we stumbled across "Ronin" on the server Darksorrow and after a good raid we started talking about merging together, so we did. I stayed as an officer for a short while in Ronin but I then decided to step away and "only" become a member. It went ok with the raiding part in WOD and we did not clear Everything but at least a lot.
Unfortunally.. Everything good must come to an end and at the end of WOD people were dropping off raiding and all of a sudden Legion was there and the raidteam was dead and a lot of people had changed servers etc.. so I just played with friend and way more casually

Sorry for the wall of text...

Why do you wish to join CTSamurai and what convinces you that you would be a good addition to CTSamurai? What sets you apart? ←Money Question, one-liners here reflect poorly…think about it.

Safe to say that I’m hungry for raiding! and I am a progressing loving freak... meaning I do not lack of focus or get mad for a whipe, that´s a part of the game.
I can adapt Quick if it´s needed something special from me / the class that I’m playing I will to benefit the Guild in all way possible.
Like to be prepared for upcoming raids/patches/specs and what not.

With both experiences from both raidleading and member I feel like I know both "Worlds" and this is not so sound cocky but it is two separate things and things that are expected from you are totally different.

Calm as a person and Always coming in to a raid prepared and not only in game bur IRL as well, shit outside the game mirror itself inside the game. So, a clear mind.

If we offer you a trial period we would expect a 100% attendance rate so that we can gauge your performance. Is there any reason why you would not be able to meet this requirement?

Talked real fast with your GM about this the other night. Can only raid twice a week, prefer wed/thursday.

Describe any conflicts you might have with our raiding schedule - our raiding days 8.30-11.30 PM ST Wed,Thurs and Mon

The time/days are perfect for me exept monday, that will be hard for me due to work!

Describe your role in a raid and what you bring to a raid (e.g. An important role on a certain boss). This is your chance to show us your knowledge and capability of your class.

My role is quite simple but still need to be on my toes to maintain a solid DPS throughout the fights. It is very important to know the fights to maximize the dps and when to burst CD´s and not get caught while doing so. The worst thing you can do as a dps is just to be on the wrong Place at the wrong time or popping every CD just to one second later get caught in something that could have been noticed with addons like DBM. Rather wait one second longer.

Typical example is during an encounter with ads, for me as a mage you should have that in the back of your head to save your AOE talents (comet storm, frost orb etc..) to make it fast and easier for every 1.

Important to not slack on things that you are expected to do. ADS/Decurse/Sheep/Keep ads in Place with frost nova... just basically helping the raid out.

And OFC bringing this to every raid: Pre pot / Runes / Buff food / Flask / Right Azerite traits/ Right spec for certain fights / Repaired gear / Updated addons/ Read up on tacts / A clear mind / and most important thing.. Patient. ohhh and ofc a cool transmog ;)

Would you be willing to play an alternative class/spec during progression in order to help the guild progress in a more efficient manner? While alts are not mandatory, it's always a great addition for a fight where class stacking is preferred.

Fuck Yes. If it would mean to have a higher chance to down something, then Ofc.

This is an old guild with a family/friend-like atmosphere. It is important to us that we get to know more of who you are then just another player, so tell us a little about yourself. This could very well sell your application to us, so HAVE FUN!

So here we are!

The basic things you read up top (family etc.)

But beside that i´m a person who live to laugh (it may sound like a cliché) but i love to make other laugh and also to burst in to tears of laughing aswell.
I take time to hangout with friend but ecually much time on my family.
Do NOT like the big city Life, i´m more off a treehugger and obviously that´s why we live in a rustic society.
Love cars (if you did not get that from start off apply) and love to sell them. Ambassador for the brand Mazda and Mitsubishi.
Sports are… meeh.. I do Watch stuff when Sweden compete in something like hockey/fotball / Olympics / World Championship in various kinds. But for myself i have put almost all my own training on the "shelf". All training i get now is walking the dogs and.... well figure it out ;)
Junkie of Movies / Series / Twitch.tv / Youtube / Music.
An old partyfool that calmed down when i meet Hanna... well needed :)
Not that much for study.. did the basic things that school expected from you but did not go further such as University or something similar.
Looking for house at the moment and as you probobly understand by now, there will be animals involved… Hanna would like a farm but im ok with the two dogs and two cats… but we will see. Happy wife, happy Life (tho we are not married but you Catch my drift)
Love to make food, tho i do it to rarely since im always home late.

Are there any current members of CTSamurai who would vouch for you?

Not that i know off..

In order to help us improve our recruitment process, please state where/how you heard about us and that we were recruiting.

Wow progress homepage. Goggled "raiding guild darksorrow" and there you were.

Anything you would like to add? Extra information etc.

On the screenshot i see that my DBM and Weakaura was not working… don´t mind that.

Used to play with keybinds but not a huge fan of macros. Love good old blizzard UI

Addons in use:

Omen
Skada
DBM
Weakaura
Decurse
and more addons for the non raiding part.
